Flooring

We hand-select, board by board, kiln-dried curly, figured, and unique hard woods
for the milling of our floors. The distinctiveness our floors are guaranteed to
enhance and add value to your home or office.

The species of wood are available in different grades. The variety of grades offers
unlimited possibilities in setting or changing the decor of your office, living
room, dinning room, and bedroom, stairs, hallways and stair landings.

High-grade flooring will have the characteristic of being uniform and consistent
in color and thus more suitable for formal and contemporary settings. Lower-grade
flooring has more natural wood characteristics such as mineral streaks and color
variations from board to board and is utilized in more rustic and country settings.

Facts about our custom made flooring:

  • Made from 100% solid hard wood
  • Upon availability, a lot of flooring may be selected from one log
  • Can only be install over a plywood, wood, or OSB sub floor
  • Precision-milled tongue and groove construction locks each piece of wood tightly
    in position
  • Wood has been kiln-dried
  • All flooring is manufactured to 3/4″ of thickness and multiple widths
  • Install only in rooms that are on or above ground level only
  • Flooring is provided unfinished and is stainable

Prices

The following are current average prices for custom-made flooring. Each floor will
vary in cost depending on customer selection for clarity, color, character marks,
and the price and availability of specific wood at the time of order.

Our pre-finished flooring has two coats of conversion varnish applied. Therefore,
upon laying the floor the project is complete. The cost for the pre-finished flooring
is an additional $1.50 per square foot plus the cost of the unfinished flooring.

Curly/Wormy Red Maple The flooring would include all light and dark colored lumber with the water-stained
worm holes included, sound knots, streaking and the wide variety of color variations.

Curly Red Oak The flooring would be prepared from primarily clear but curly lumber with knots
and all defects trimmed free. The lumber we have available would provide a very
distinctive and unique floor.

Straight grain Cherry The flooring would be primarily the red heartwood, with some slightly lighter sapwood
visible. All knots would be trimmed, but the flooring might include some sound figure
close to the knots. This provides a very unique and distinctive floor.

Curly Cherry The flooring would be primarily the red heartwood, with some slightly lighter sapwood

Quarter-sawn Red or White Oak The flooring would contain the slight variation between sap and heartwood in the
two oaks, and would have all sound lumber with knots and defects trimmed free. This
provides a more formal style floor.

White Ash The flooring would offer heavy wood grain pattern and an array of different settings
from rustic, country to contemporary, and from uniform color to highly contrasting
multi tone colors.

Red Elm The flooring would be characterized primary by heavy wood grain and the tones of
heart and sap wood.
